Planetary and One-Health concepts show us the need for rethinking healthcare. We have to refocus and also need to relearn innovation approaches with different goals. Michael has edited a novel teaching book that addresses the problem space and a desired future for the global Future of Health. 49 chapters in 11 parts with 25 co-authors adress these needs and present novel strategies for health democratisation and patient empowerment. A purpose oriented innovation framework (Purpose Launchpad) in combination with entrepreneurial stimulation are the base for these urgently needed changes.
